Yam Nuah

quite possibly the best salad you’ll ever have. and it’s easy as hell to make-

1 sirloin steak
1/2 cup slivered red onion
4-6 cherry tomatos (halved)
1/2 cucumber sliced in thin wedges, then halved.
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
3TBS lime juice (i prefer 4-5 TBS)
3 TBS fish sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp asian chili paste
cook steak to medium, set adise for 10 minutes. combine veggies in a salad bowl and toss. mix the dressing ingredients and set aside. cut the steak across the grain at a slight angle and place on the veggies. add dressing. stir and eat. quick, easy, and fantastic. GREAT post-workout meal.

    Best salad indeed. One of my favorites. Your version is similar to mine. I really like adding mint leaves in the summer–this is a quintessentially summer dish. I also often add a touch of fruit, just to make it more filling & more balanced with respect to macronutrients. A small amount of cubed pear or watermelon makes this already delicious dish into something sublime.
